The SC/ST/OBC Cell aims to ensure the effective implementation, monitoring, and continuous evaluation of the reservation policies of the Government of India in accordance with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC). The Cell is committed to promoting equity, inclusiveness, and social justice within Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib.

Objectives and Functions of the cell

• To implement, monitor, and evaluate reservation policies and welfare schemes for SC/ST/OBC students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff in accordance with Government of India and UGC guidelines.
• To ensure transparency and compliance with reservation norms in admissions and appointments across the University and its affiliated colleges.
• To provide academic, financial, social, and psychological support to SC/ST/OBC students through counseling, mentoring, and remedial measures.
• To create awareness about scholarships, fellowships, and other financial assistance schemes offered by the Government and the UGC.
• To address grievances and complaints of SC/ST/OBC students and staff promptly, fairly, and confidentially.
• To promote an inclusive, discrimination-free academic environment and act as a liaison with government and regulatory bodies on matters related to SC/ST/OBC welfare
