Career Fair 2024
Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University (SGGSWU), Fatehgarh Sahib, successfully concluded its fifth edition of the Career Fair-2024 on April 9th, 2024. The event, held at the university campus, witnessed an overwhelming participation from students and esteemed companies alike.
Dr. Ajaib Singh Brar, Pro-Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Pritpal Singh, Vice-Chancellor of SGGSWU, expressed their satisfaction with the event's outcome, highlighting its significance in providing valuable opportunities for students. They emphasized the university's ongoing commitment to facilitating career development and fostering partnerships with leading companies.
The Career Fair-2024 attracted a diverse array of renowned companies, including Lenskart, Decathlon, Akal Academy, Oppo Mobiles, EClerx, Hoping Minds, , Arjas Steel, YHills, Corizo Edutech, Alembic Pharmaceuticals, Talent Belter, Just Dial, MWIDM India, Relinns, AU Small Finance Bank, Paras Hospital, among others. These companies actively engaged with students from various postgraduate and graduate courses, spanning Engineering (Computer Sciences, Biotechnology, Food Processing Technology), Sciences, MBA, M.Com, BBA, B.Com, MCA, BCA, Agriculture, Engineering, and Diploma programs.
The Career Fair-2024 witnessed a significant footfall of approximately 700 students from more than 50 Universities and Colleges across Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh. This remarkable turnout underscores the event's regional significance and its role in bridging the gap between academia and industry.
Dr. S.S. Billing, Dean Academic Affairs, Dr. Tejbir Singh, Registrar, graced the occasion and played pivotal roles in ensuring the success of the Career Fair-2024.
Dr. Kamaljit Kaur, Incharge of Training and Placements, took charge of coordinating the inaugural session of the Career Fair-2024.
